Royal Marsden retain Lifecycle Management Group

The Royal Marsden Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has retained Lifecycle to deliver dedicated procurement and contract management services. Lifecycle will manage a portfolio of over £2m of maintenance and service contracts in addition to the Trust’s lease portfolio, delivering savings and operational benefits. Lifecycle will also take responsibility for managing and policing the delivery of maintenance visits, ensuring visits happen to schedule and service sheets are recorded and fully accessible online.

The contract award follows Lifecycle’s management of a major cross-procurement project for both Marsden and Chelsea & Westminster, an existing Lifecycle client. The project, to procure alternative maintenance services for more than 150 endoscopes and 200 pieces of electro-medical equipment, delivered in excess of £2.3m in total savings.

Commenting on the new contract, Suzanne Scannell, Director of Procurement, said

“When Chelsea and Westminster retained Lifecycle last year, one of the first projects they managed was a cross-procurement with Royal Marsden. The project delivered significant savings for both trusts, so Royal Marsden were happy to retain Lifecycle and we look forward to many more successful projects.”
